THE HOUSE AND ITS SURROUNDINGS
El Puy is a renovated 19th century country house set on a hill overlooking the village of Castigaleu and at the beginning of the valley of the river Caixigar. The building was restored between 2000 and 2006.
The land surrounding the house, which was previously a vegetable garden, has been designed and equipped in order to enjoy the open air and nature: running, relaxing, playing football, having meals, walking, and so on. Even the swimming pool facilities blend in with the surrounding scenery, reflecting its colours and lines. It is equipped with a saltwater chlorinator, which generates chlorine by electrolysis of dissolved salt, guaranteeing finest quality water as well as greater sustainability.
Sustainability has also been an important issue in the house’s interior design. The original architectural style has been preserved as far as
possible and parts which were beyond repair have been
replaced, creating a blend of past and modern
styles.
The result is a combination of convenience
and comfort.
